If anyone has been paying close attention to my art or designs, it should be very apparent that I’m subconsciously obsessed with using shapes in my work. There’s something about its the abstract presence that really gives me the desire to incorporate them whenever possible. Either I get too tired of making subject matter or I’m obsessed with 80’s styles. Something about using organic or simple forms just happens to be one of my guilty design pleasures.
I will include some of my artwork that includes my use of geometry. As an artist, I am curious to see or hear how others will perceive my works. Does the viewer look deeper into the composition? Do they see something that I don’t? Do they see a rectangle and laugh? All of these are inside thoughts that keep me wondering. Whether I’m making unique choices or not, I don’t know if building shapes will ever leave my design process.
