When coming up with a design composition, whether it be for print or web, the color should be a key component for creating the overall harmony and unity. Color schemes don’t have to be a super complicated aspect if you look in the right places. Nowadays, there are plenty of applications that can create a color scheme based on a photograph you took or a preexisting idea. My personal favorite is to use the Adobe Color Themes panel within my software. This allows me to search color schemes based on a single word I type in that also relates to the content I’m producing. You can also browse some of the most popular or most recent schemes if you’re open to ideas.
