Preparing for our portfolio show, our Media Design classes are working hard in order to create a guestbook for event attendees to take home. One issue when creating printed material with multiple pages is the possibility of creep. Creep refers to the shifting that occurs when pages are folded together. This was something I hadn’t considered before and served as a great learning experience. So, how does one get rid of creep? To make a long answer short, there are multiple ways you can solve this issue. One necessary step being that a test print should be performed. Our Portfolio Production class assembled a sample booklet and determined which pages need to be adjusted in our software. Printing booklets sure can be complicated, but by taking these precautions we get one step closer to creating a professional and polished end result!
