As my final year at Southeast Tech comes to an end, I’d like to share one of my final school projects. My class and I are all hard at work preparing for our portfolio show where we will prove and showcase our abilities as graduates of media design. A majority of this showcase is actually branding ourselves. I had created a logo for myself in my first year just as something extra, and I still appreciate what I created for myself.
However, now I know more about the direction and themes I want to be represented when viewing my logo. I am an illustrator at heart, and I thought it would be a nice touch to reflect that. My new logo design includes anchor points, giving a nod to the technical parts of working with shapes in the Adobe software. This new look also utilizes color to enhance the design as a whole. Blue often represents trust, relaxation, and overall calm nature. All of these little adjustments and additions are just essential tools to help communicate who I am and what I create.
